Valuation event for Moorcroft & 20th Century Ceramics

Dorset’s leading Fine Art Auctioneers Duke’s of Dorchester will be holding a specialist Moorcroft and 20th century Ceramics valuation event on Monday 22nd July at their state of the art premises in Brewery Square. Max Beaumont, Head of Art & Design, will be on hand between the hours of 10am – 1pm to offer free and confidential appraisals on single items or entire collections including Poole Pottery, Clarice Cliff and Moorcroft. He comments “The market for Moorcroft and 20th century ceramics remains remarkably popular with a broad range of buyers seeking the rare and unusual”. Duke’s recently featured an important exhibition quality Poole Pottery vase, designed by John Adams in the desirable Bush-Velt design, that stood an impressive 2ft (62cm) high. After fierce bidding in the saleroom, it sold for just under £10,000 including Buyers’ premium, making it one of the most expensive pieces of Poole Pottery believed to have ever been sold at auction.
